All is set for the festival of youths and students and excellent platform to unite young people around the world in Russia.

More than 20,000 young people from 150 countries will participate in the global event of the World Festival of Youths and Students,
programmed to hold in October 2017 in Sochi, Russia, organisers have said.

The event, which is the 19th edition will be organised by the Russia Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, would also feature 3,000 journalists
and bloggers from around world, as well as 7,000 volunteers from within and outside Russia, said Sergey Belyaev, Head, Republic of
Congo branch of Rossotrudnichestvo  while briefing newsmen in Abuja.

Rossotrudnichestvo is an Agency of Russian Compatriots Abroad.

Belyaev disclosed that Moscow had host two editions of the festival, considered to be the biggest youth event globally, in 1957 and 1985.
According to him, the event was to unite young people from different countries and give them the opportunity to communicate and socialize.
“Participants of such festival are normally from political organisations, student unions, young professors in universities, young professionals, religious organisations and all partners of the Russian Federation around the world,” he added.

Belyaev said discussions during the event would focus on political, cultural, ecological and humanitarian issues as well as peace and
security and fight against terrorism.

“The event would be visa-free entry to Russia. Participants would gain entry into the country through accreditation card, as it is common for
